With over 27,000 trees being flushed down the loo every single day, Smartass wanted to produce toilet paper from a material that would have as little impact on our environment as possible and remove the need for cutting down trees. After searching high and low, they settled on a combination of Bamboo and Bagasse, two of the world’s most sustainable resources.
The benefits of Bamboo is that it’s fast-growing, has a simple ‘diet’ of rainwater and sunshine, and it has little wear and tear on soil quality. Smartass then teamed this with Bagasse, which is a waste product from the sugarcane harvesting process – Name a better duo!

Wildflour, based in sunny Mount Maunganui is a small batch bakery that enjoys creating wholesome breakfast granola, nutritious treats, and comforting baked goods! Their passion always starts with quality ingredients and they love to support local suppliers with the same ethos, their eggs are locally laid and delivered by Nikkis Eggs, their macadamias are grown locally in Kati-Kati, they use natural New Zealand made chocolate from Solomons Gold to name a few. Boring® is a New Zealand oat milk company that makes oat milk in New Zealand, using New Zealand oats. Boring® oat milk isn’t made anywhere fancy like Sweden, it’s proudly made in Hawke’s Bay. This means that the only overseas journey the oats make is from the South Island to the North Island, where they get processed along with the other ingredients into delicious and nutritious oat milk.
